If the electronic key in the lock of ignition does not give in to a povorachivaniye, the lever of the AT selector remains blocked in the situation "R". Then an electronic key again insert into the lock of ignition and turn it. If the lock of ignition is in situation 2, the lever of the selector gives in to moving and remains free.

At long parking of the car it is necessary to take out an electronic key in order to avoid a discharge of the storage battery.

· If the smart card is removed from the car (for example, with luggage or clothes), the car cannot be more blocked, and the engine is started.

Automatic transmission

Separate transfers join automatically depending on:

· positions of the lever of the AT selector with ranges of switching 4, 3, 2 and 1
· the chosen program of switching (W/S)

· speeds of movement.

Automatic transmission reacts to the changed service conditions adapted by the gear shifting program.

Switching of the lever of the AT selector possibly in situation 2 locks of ignition. For moving of the lever of the AT selector it is necessary to squeeze out a working brake of the situation "R" in addition.

Parkovaniye

Switching ranges for special service conditions

Switching each time on one range in sequence of D, 4, 3, 2, 1 is made.

Slightly press the selector lever in the direction +:

Switching from the range of switching included at present on the following higher range of switching is made.

The lever of the selector press in the direction + and hold it pressed:

Switching from the range of switching included at present directly in situation "D" is made.

If transmission is in a range of switching of "D", it is possible to make switching on higher transfer on one step, having slightly pressed the selector lever in the direction +.

There is a danger of drift!

At the slippery road do not switch to lower transfer for the purpose of braking. Tires of driving wheels can lose coupling with the road.

Switching ranges:

4 Switching only before the 4th transfer.
3 Switching only before the 3rd transfer.

In this situation it is possible to use braking operation of the engine.

2 Switching only before the 2nd transfer.

The mode is provided for movement on abrupt passes, in mountains, under trying conditions operation, and also as brake situation on especially abrupt descents.

Switch of programs

The pressing of the W/S-1-switch makes switching between the W and S programs.

The chosen program is displayed on a control panel.

«S» Standard mode

The mode is provided for all normal traffic conditions.

«W» Winter mode

Switching on higher and lower transfer is made by strong pressing of a pedal of an accelerator on lower speeds of movement and lower number of turns of the engine, than in the program "S".

Emergency operation

If during movement transmission any more does not give in to switching and keeps and under the changed service conditions the included transfer, transmission is in emergency operation.

For possibility of further movement the 2nd transfer or the 2nd transfer of a backing can be included. Sequence of actions thus the following:

Stop the car.

Transfer the AT selector lever to the situation "R".

Electronic key in the lock of ignition turn in situation 0.

Wait not Maine for 10 seconds.

Start the engine.

The lever of the AT selector transfer to situation "D":

the 2nd transfer is included.

The lever of the AT selector transfer to the situation "R":

Parking brake

There is a danger of failure!

Raising of the parking brake: strongly press a pedal of the parking brake. The parking brake will tighten.

On a control panel at the tightened parking brake the control lamp of brake system lights up.

The control lamp of brake system on a control panel dies away at the working engine.

Recommendations about driving

Management pedals

There is a danger of failure!

Steering

Brakes

On long and abrupt descents it is recommended to unload brakes transmission switching on lower transfer — include ranges of switching 3, 2 or 1.

Thus the overheat of brakes is prevented and wear of brake slips decreases.

After raised load of brakes it is recommended to put the car on parking not at once, and at first some time to continue movement quicker to cool brakes with a counter flow of air.

If you long time moved to a heavy rain without braking, can happen that at the first braking there will be some delay, and you should press a brake with bigger force. Therefore observe big, than usually, a distance to cars moving ahead of you.

In order to avoid corrosion on brake disks before putting the car on parking after movement on the wet road, especially if it was strewed with defreezing means, strongly press a brake to dry brake disks by heating.

Working brake

At rather low operational loads of brake system from time to time it is necessary to be convinced of its efficiency by short strong braking on higher speed. Thereby improvement of coupling of brake slips is reached.

Shutdown of supply of fuel in a mode of compulsory idling

Tires

In some countries only nizkooktanovy grades of fuel are on sale.

Recommendations about driving in ice

The most important rule at movement in ice:

Move carefully, avoid sharp acceleration, braking and maneuvering at management.

At threat of drift of the car or in case at low speed of movement the car cannot be stopped, transfer the selector lever automatic transmission to the situation "N".

By means of a wheel try to keep the car under control.

At movement on deep snow we recommend to raise a road gleam of the car (subsection «Regulation of a road gleam»).

Defreezing means applied on roads can make negative impact on brake action. Therefore for achievement of habitual brake action the bigger effort can be demanded.

In this regard we recommend at long movement on the roads covered with defreezing means repeatedly to press a brake pedal. By it the brake action reduced by defreezing means can be again normalized.

Watch that as a result of braking not to endanger other participants of movement!

If after movement on the roads strewed with defreezing means the car was put on parking, before continuation of a trip it is necessary to check at once, whenever possible, brake action, observing due care. At appreciable decrease in efficiency of braking it is possible to restore it by means of repeated pressing a brake pedal.

Antisliding chains

Apply only the chains of antisliding tested and allowed by us.

The reference any Mercedes-Benz station on this matter will give.

Models with tires 245/45 R18

For simplification of installation of chains of antisliding it is recommended to increase a road gleam of the car (lower in this Section).

Installation of chains of antisliding is authorized only on certain combinations of wheels and tires. (More detailed instructions are provided in Specifications).

Impose antisliding chains only on back wheels (the leading bridge). Observe the instruction of the manufacturer on installation.

The maximum speed of movement (50 km/h) is allowed only on snow.

On not snow-covered road of a chain of antisliding it is necessary to remove at once whenever possible. (Recommendations about driving are provided in ice above).

At application of chains of antisliding function of antiprobuksovochny system ESP can be disconnected (see below).

Trailer towage

There is a danger of a travmirovaniye and failure!

At a hitch and расцепке the trailer observe the maximum care and care.

When giving car back between the car and the trailer there should not be people!

Trailers with inertial brake system should not be disconnected in a condition наката.

Owing to the wrong connection of the trailer on the car tractor there is a danger of a separation of the trailer.

The structure with the trailer is heavier, has limited ability to dispersal and overcoming of liftings and longer brake way. It reacts to rushes of a lateral wind, etc. more sensitively and demands more careful driving.

Fuel consumption at car operation with the trailer naturally raises.

When loading the trailer watch that the full standard mass of the trailer and the allowed mass of cargo towed by the car together with (Specification) traction coupling device were not exceeded.

Allowed values are specified in passports of the car and on factory plates of the traction coupling device and the trailer.

The lowest value is valid.

Besides, the permissible load дышла the trailer on a spherical head of the traction coupling device should not be exceeded.

The maximum basic loading is specified in Specifications or on the pasted plate. It should not exceed the value specified on factory plates of the traction coupling device and the trailer.

We recommend to use the maximum basic loading on дышло the trailer not less, however, 50 kg.

According to basic loading it is necessary to reduce mass of cargo in the car in order to avoid excess of allowed load of the back bridge.

It is recommended not to exceed the maximum speed of 80 km/h, including and in the countries in which higher speed is authorized.

It is necessary to avoid, whenever possible, sharp braking and at first slightly to brake for the purpose of a trailer nakatyvaniye on the tractor. Then smoothly increase brake effort.

If the trailer starts to wag, it is necessary to reduce speed of movement, not to turn a wheel against drift, and in case of need, brake. Do not try to "extend" at all structure increase of speed of movement.

The values of ability of overcoming of lifting given in Specifications at a troganiye from a place belong to a sea level. At movement in mountains it is necessary to remember that with increase in height engine capacity and, therefore, ability of overcoming of lifting decreases at a troganiye from a place.

Trailers with inertial brake system should not be disconnected in a condition наката. Owing to reverse motion of inertial brake system possibly bumper damage.

Tempostat

Tempostat allows you unfatiguing management as it automatically holds the set speed by active pressing and an otpuskaniye of a pedal of an accelerator.

By the switch lever темпостата on a column of a steering can be chosen and activated темпостат or the variable limiter of speed.

Indication of the chosen system, темпостата or the variable limiter of speed, is made by the LIM indicator on the switch lever темпостата:

· Tempostat:

Gain desirable speed of movement, having pressed an accelerator pedal.

Slightly press the switch lever темпостата in the direction-1-or-2-. Speed is written down in memory.

The speed entered into memory is displayed on the multiinformation display, and on a speedometer segments from the speed entered into memory to the maximum speed of movement light up.

Release an accelerator pedal.

At increase of speed of movement of the car by pressing of the lever of the switch темпостата in the direction-1-or decrease in speed in the direction-2-after an otpuskaniye of the lever of the switch темпостата speed is written down in memory.

Exact installation by steps to 1 km/h:

Increase of speed — the switch lever темпостата slightly press in the direction-1-.

Decrease in speed — the switch lever темпостата slightly press in the direction-2-.

Call of the entered speed from memory:

Since speed of movement about 40 km/h the call of the entered speed from memory is possible.

Slightly press the switch lever in the direction-4-.

The speed entered into memory is displayed on the multiinformation display, and on a speedometer segments from the speed entered into memory to the maximum speed light up.

The remembered speed of movement choose only if the driver well remembers it and it again intends to cause from memory.

At a povorachivaniye of an electronic key in the ignition lock in situation 1 or 0 the remembered speed is dumped.

Switching off:

The switch lever темпостата quickly press in the direction-3-or-5-, speed remains in memory.

By pressing in the direction-5-the LIM indicator on the switch lever темпостата lights up — the variable limiter of speed is chosen.

Tempostat also is switched off by pressing a brake pedal.

If segments on a speedometer start to blink, темпостат is switched off, for example, if the AT selector lever during movement is switched in the situation "N" or when hydroplaning.

On liftings or descents темпостат reduces a deviation from the speed of movement chosen by the driver by transmission switching by lower transfer. Despite it, it is possible that it will not be possible to keep the set speed.

After overcoming of such site the remembered speed and transmission is automatically established comes back to former situation.

If speed of movement of the car decreases in pressing of the lever of the switch темпостата in the direction-2-, at insufficient decrease in speed transmission switching on the 4th or 3rd transfer is made.

For short-term increase of speed of movement (e.g., for overtaking) — press an accelerator pedal. If the pedal of an accelerator is again released, the remembered speed is again established.

Use темпостат only if road conditions allow uniform speed of movement.

On the multiinformation display indication «CRUISE CONTROL - - -» (ТЕМПОСТАТ---) joins in attempt to enter in memory speed below 40 km/h or by a call from memory of not written down speed — темпостат remains included.

At malfunction темпостата — address to the Section Precautionary and control lamps, and also messages of the multiinformation display on the registered malfunctions.

System of maintenance of a safe distance of "Distronic" (DTR)

If ahead of the going car is not present, the Distronic (DTR) system functions as usual темпостат. She allows you unfatiguing management as it automatically holds the set speed.

If the sensor of a distance identifies the car ahead going on slower speed, speed of your car decreases and movement behind ahead going car proceeds with observance of the set distance.

Function of Distronic system does not adapt automatically for road conditions owing to what it is impossible to use Distronic system, for example, at ice.

Record in memory of any speed of movement approximately from 40 km/h to 160 km/h is possible:

Switching from the variable limiter of speed on Distronic system.

The LIM indicator on the switch lever темпостата should be switched off. If necessary the switch lever темпостата press in the direction-5-.

Gain desirable speed of movement, having pressed an accelerator pedal.

Slightly press the switch lever темпостата in the direction-1-or-2-. Speed is written down in memory.

The speed entered into memory is displayed on the multiinformation display, and on a speedometer one light up or two segments in a range of the speed written down in memory.

Release an accelerator pedal.

If the switch lever темпостата keeps pressed in the direction-1-or-2-, speed of movement raises or decreases steps on 10 km/h until the switch lever темпостата will not be released.

Exact regulation by steps on 1 km/h:

Increase of the chosen speed — the switch lever темпостата slightly press in the direction-4-.

If the switch lever темпостата keeps pressed in the direction-4-, speed of movement raises steps on 1 km/h until the switch lever темпостата will not be released.

Call of the entered speed from memory:

Since speed of movement about 40 km/h to about 160 km/h the call of the entered speed from memory is possible.

Slightly press the switch lever in the direction-4-.

The speed entered into memory is displayed on the multiinformation display, and on a speedometer one light up or two segments in a range of the written-down speed.

The remembered speed of movement choose only if the driver well remembers it and it again intends to cause from memory.

At a povorachivaniye of an electronic key in the ignition lock in situation 1 or 0 the remembered speed is dumped.

If the electronic antiprobuksovochny system (ESP) is switched off, inclusion of Distronic (DTR) system is impossible.

At inclusion of function of antiprobuksovochny system ESP the Distronic system is switched off — the yellow precautionary alarm lamp on a speedometer lights up. The sound signal is in addition distributed.

Void attempts of inclusion:

In void attempt of inclusion on the multiinformation display there is an indication «-».

Void attempts of inclusion, for example, are:

· Inclusion outside of a range of speed approximately from 40 to 160 km/h.
· Inclusion at position of the lever of the selector of automatic transmission of "R", «R» or «N».
· Inclusion during car braking by the driver.
· Inclusion by short pressing of the lever of the switch темпостата in the direction-4-though speed of movement is not entered into memory.

At malfunction or defect of Distronic system be guided by subsection Section Distronic (DTR) System Precautionary and control lamps, and also messages of the multiinformation display on the registered malfunctions.

Switching off

The switch lever темпостата quickly press in the direction-3-or-5-, speed remains in memory.

By pressing in the direction-5-the LIM indicator on the switch lever темпостата lights up — the variable limiter of speed is chosen.

The Distronic system is switched off also:

· by pressing a brake pedal;
· at decrease in speed of movement of the car 40 km/h because of ahead going car are lower;
· when switching the lever of the AT selector in the situation "N";
· at inclusion of function of electronic antiprobuksovochny system ESP;
· at car acceleration till speed of movement 160 km are higher.

Driving

At a povorachivaniye of an electronic key in the ignition lock in situation 2 on a speedometer the precautionary alarm lamp of Distronic system lights up. It dies away at the working engine.

The Distronic system is switched off:

Distance measurement to ahead going car, proceeds, even if the Distronic system is switched off.

There is a danger of failure!

If the precautionary alarm lamp of Distronic system on a speedometer lights up during movement, means, the distance to ahead going car is too small. The double sound signal if there is a danger of collision is in addition distributed.

It is necessary to increase a distance to ahead going car.

Non-compliance with a distance to ahead going car increases risk of failure.

The Distronic system is included:

If the sensor of a distance identifies ahead the car moving on lower speed, speed of your car decreases and movement proceeds with observance of the set distance to ahead going car.

On a speedometer segments from speed ahead of the going car till the speed of movement chosen by the driver light up.

There is a danger of a travmirovaniye!

The Distronic system makes an automatic pritormazhivaniye for achievement of the set distance to ahead going car or preservation of speed of movement. The pedal of a brake is thus drawn.

The foot should not be on a brake pedal — there is a danger of a jamming of a foot.

At suddenly arisen, more slowly a moving obstacle (for example, at strip change by ahead going car) the Distronic system makes delay to 2 m/s2 that there correspond about 20 % of the greatest possible delay of the car.

There is a danger of failure!

If the precautionary alarm lamp of Distronic system on a speedometer lights up during movement and the double sound signal is distributed, stronger delay is necessary.

For decrease in speed of the car in addition use a working brake.

On liftings or descents the Distronic system reduces a deviation from the speed of movement chosen by the driver by braking and transmission switching by lower transfer. After overcoming of such site transmission comes back to former situation.

For short-term increase of speed of movement (e.g., for overtaking) — press an accelerator pedal. If the pedal of an accelerator is again released, the remembered speed is again established.

If owing to distance regulation by Distronic system speed of movement decreases to ahead going car below 40 km/h, or at speed of movement above 160 km/h the Distronic system is switched off. The sound signal is in addition distributed.

Recommendations about driving by means of Distronic system

There is a danger of failure!

Without having identified before itself an obstacle (for example, moving ahead of the car) the Distronic system makes adjustment before achievement of the speed chosen by the driver. Thereof:

At evolution from the left strip in right your car will continue to overtake on the right the cars moving on the left strip,
on a strip conducting to congress with the highway, your car will continue acceleration till the speed chosen by the driver.

Below the description of some situations of the movement influencing functioning of Distronic system is given.

The system is provided first of all for application on highways or the federal highways equated to them. System application in the cities is not recommended.


At movement on turns, when calling on turn or an exit from it the identification moving ahead of cars can be complicated.

The movement displaced in relation to the going in advance car can complicate its identification.

Cars which are reconstructed on a small distance on your strip, can be identified only after complete change of a strip.

1 Switch — for switching off of a warning sound signal of a distance to ahead going car

If the Distronic system is not included, the sound signal can be switched off by means of the switch-1-.

Switching off of a sound signal:

Installation of the set distance to moving ahead of the car:

Regulator-2-turn in the MIN direction or the MOVE.

The range of installation of an interval on time makes from 1.0 to 2.0 seconds.

Interval installation on time, for example, in 1.8 seconds, corresponds to a distance of a half of speed of movement in meters.

Indication on the multiinformation display

4 Call of limited speed from memory — slightly press the switch lever темпостата.

Exact regulation, increase of limited speed by steps on 1 km/h — quickly press the switch lever темпостата.

5 Switching between tempostaty and the variable limiter of speed — press the switch lever темпостата.

The variable limiter of speed is chosen, if the LIM indicator on the switch lever темпостата burns.

Tempostat or the Distronic (DTR) system is chosen, if the LIM indicator on the switch lever темпостата does not burn. (Tempostat and Distronic system are considered above in this Section).

There is a danger of failure!

If the variable limiter of speed is activated, on a speedometer segments from the scale beginning before the established restriction of speed are shone:

The established speed can be exceeded in this case only at the provision of a pedal of an accelerator "kik-Down".

Switching off of the limiter of speed:

Quickly press the switch lever in the direction-3-or-5-.

On a speedometer all segments are shone.

By pressing in the direction-5-the LIM indicator on the switch lever темпостата dies away also.

The limiter of speed деактивируется as well in case in the provision of a pedal of an accelerator "kik-Down" speed of movement differs from in advance established speed no more, than on 20 km/h.

Use the limiter of speed only if need of sudden acceleration till the speed exceeding the in advance established is not expected.

At change of the driver follows for safety reasons surely inform it about the established speed.

Unlike темпостата or Distronic systems the variable limiter of speed is not switched off by pressing of a brake pedal.

There is a danger of a travmirovaniye!

Models with Distronic system:

The Distronic system makes an automatic pritormazhivaniye for prevention of excess of the established restriction of speed. The pedal of a brake is thus drawn.

The foot should not be under a brake pedal — there is a danger of a jamming of a foot.

Switching/activation

Start the engine.

At the working engine probably restriction of any speed is higher than 30 km/h at cars with Distronic system.

Switching with темпостата or Distronic systems on the variable limiter of speed.

The LIM indicator on the switch lever темпостата should burn. If necessary the switch lever темпостата press in the direction-5-.

Slightly press the switch lever in the direction (1, 2 or 4).

The variable limiter of speed is activated.

The established limited speed is displayed on the multiinformation display, and on a speedometer segments from the scale beginning before the established restriction of speed light up.

Direction-1-:

Actual speed of movement is remembered as new restriction of speed; the curve to the following higher ten is thus made. The further easy pressing or a continence of the lever makes increase of the established limited speed.

Direction-2-:

Actual speed of movement is remembered as new restriction of speed; the curve to the following lower ten is thus made. The further easy pressing or a continence of the lever makes decrease in the established limited speed.

Direction-4-:

The remembered last restriction of speed is activated, if speed of movement exceeds the remembered restriction of speed no more, than on 30 km/h.

The further easy pressing or continence of the lever makes increase of the established restriction of speed by steps on 1 km/h.

Deaktivirovaniye

Slightly press the switch lever in the direction-3-or press in the direction-5-.

On a speedometer all segments are shone.

By pressing in the direction-5-the LIM indicator on the switch lever темпостата dies away.

The limiter of speed деактивируется as well in case in the provision of a pedal of an accelerator "kik-Down" speed of movement differs from in advance established speed no more, than on 20 km/h.

Depending on a design insignificant deviations of indications of a speedometer from the speed established by means of the limiter are possible.

At malfunction of the variable limiter of speed — address to the subsection "Speedtronic", Undressed Precautionary and control lamps, and also messages of the multiinformation display on the registered malfunctions).

Models without Distronic (DTR) system

If the limiter of speed cannot hold the set speed (for example, on descents), is distributed the sound signal and on the multiinformation display within about 5 seconds blinks «LIMIT EXCEEDED» indication (RESTRICTION is EXCEEDED).

Segments on a speedometer blink until the established restriction of speed will be again reached.

Constant limiter of speed

At car operation with tires with winter drawing of a protector the constant limiter of speed can be established in the system menu «Individual installation» (Undressed the Multipurpose steering wheel, the multiinformation display) for speed of 210 km/h.

If the constant limiter of speed is switched on, on a speedometer segments from the zero indication of a scale till speed of 210 km/h are shone.

Shortly before achievement of the established restriction of speed its value is displayed on the multiinformation display.

At malfunction of the constant limiter of speed — address to the Section subsection "Speedtronic" Precautionary and control lamps, and also messages of the multiinformation display on the registered malfunctions).

Amplifier of emergency braking (BAS) (Brake Assist)

There is a danger of failure!

Movement on the exceeded speed, especially on turns, hydroplaning and non-compliance with a distance to ahead going cars increase risk of failure. This risk cannot be lowered by means of BAS.

BAS helps you to reduce a brake way when braking in dangerous road situations and allows to use advantages of anti-blocking system (ABS) completely.

By very fast pressing of a brake pedal of BAS provides the maximum strengthening of a brake drive. For achievement whenever possible the minimum brake way do not reduce effort of a foot, and continue to press a brake pedal.

At an otpuskaniye of a pedal of a brake, BAS it is switched off; on hand, as usual, there is a normal function of a working brake.

Anti-blocking system (ABS)

There is a danger of failure!

Movement on the exceeded speed, especially on turns, hydroplaning and non-compliance with a distance to ahead going cars increase risk of failure. This risk cannot be reduced and ABS system.

If the electronic key in the lock of ignition is in situation 2, the control lamp of ABS system burns. It dies away at the working engine.

If the control lamp of ABS system on a control panel at the working engine constantly burns — address to the Section Precautionary and control lamps, and also messages of the multiinformation display on the registered malfunctions.

The ABS system prevents blocking of wheels irrespective of a road condition, since speed about 8 km/h.

If one of wheels when braking reaches a blocking limit, owing to management of brake pressure by means of ABS, vibration of the car and an easy pulsation of a brake pedal is felt. Thus the driver is notified on transition to regulation by means of ABS.

In need of further braking do not reduce effort of a foot to a pedal. Thus advantage of ABS system — braking at preservation of controllability of the car is used.

If complete braking is required, a pedal of a brake press with full force, the regulation mode by means of ABS system thereby is provided.

In case of the slippery road, for example, at ice and snowfall, the system can already work at low effort of braking. The pulsation of a brake pedal arising thus specifies that style of driving should be adapted for difficult road conditions.

Electronic antiprobuksovochny system (ESP)

The electronic antiprobuksovochny system (ESP) increases stability of movement of the car and ability of transfer of traction effort at all operating modes.

In case of malfunction of anti-blocking system (ABS), it is switched off as well ESP system.

At car operation during the winter period the maximum effect from electronic antiprobuksovochny system (ESP) is reached only at use of tires «by M + S» and, if necessary, antisliding chains.

When using wheels with tires of the various sizes appropriate functioning of ESP system is not provided.

If the electronic antiprobuksovochny system (ESP) is switched off, inclusion of Distronic (DTR) system is impossible.

At inclusion of antiprobuksovochny system ESP the Distronic system is switched off — the yellow precautionary alarm lamp on a speedometer lights up.

Regulation of a road gleam of the car

Switch pressing at the working engine:

The road gleam of the car is automatically regulated depending on the established road gleam ("raised" or "normal") and speeds of movement. Thus traffic safety raises, and fuel consumption decreases.

At speed of movement over about 140 km/h decrease in a road gleam of the car to level about 15 mm below the normal is made. It is made irrespective of the chosen level of a road gleam. At speed of movement below about 70 km/h the normal road gleam is again established.

Switch pressing above-1-:

The raised road gleam, is established, for example, at the bad road. Increase of a road gleam of the car approximately on 25 mm is thus made. Control light-emitting diodes-3-light up. On the multiinformation display indication «AIR SPRING, VEHICLE RISING» joins (ПНЕВМОПОДВЕСКА, the CAR RISES!).

Upon termination of car lifting indication is switched off.

At speed of movement about 120 km/h or if speed within about 5 minutes remains between 80 km/h and 120 km/h, installation «the raised road gleam» are higher is dumped. The minimum distance between the sensor and an obstacle:

forward corners about 15 cm
in the middle of about 20 cm

All yellow segments and one or both red segments are shone. In addition approximately for 3 seconds the warning sound signal is distributed.

Further approach can lead to that the obstacle will not be displayed any more (segments do not light up).

Trailer towage

If at trailer towage the feeding cable is inserted into a plug receptacle, function of protection of a back part of a body is not activated.

If the feeding cable is disconnected, function of protection of a back part of a body is again activated.

The adapter for the trailer with the 7-contact tip should be pulled out from the socket after a trailer detachment, otherwise function of protection of a back part of a body remains not activated.

Malfunction of Parktronic system

At malfunction only red segments of all signaling devices light up.

The extraneous source of ultrasound or the polluted sensor can be the reason. (Cleaning of sensors of Parktronic system on bumpers — address to Head the Body).

After cleaning of sensors an electronic key in the ignition lock again turn in situation 2.

At malfunction in addition within about 3 seconds the warning sound signal is distributed, and the control light-emitting diode on the Parktronic system switch on the average console lights up. The system is switched off!

Device of remote opening of a door of garage

There is a danger of failure!

The pressing one of buttons of the transmitter of the built-in device of remote control in an internal rear-view mirror is authorized only if in a zone of movement of system of opening of a door of garage there are no people or any subjects; otherwise there is a danger of a travmirovaniye of people an opening door.

Programming of the built-in device of remote control

Transmitter-1-,-2-and-3 buttons - can be programmed.

Programming on an example of the button of the transmitter-1-:

· An electronic key in the lock of ignition turn in situation 1 or 2.

The button of the transmitter-1-press and hold pressed until the control light-emitting diode-4-will not start to blink with frequency approximately once a second.

The button of the transmitter-1-continue to hold the pressed.

The control light-emitting diode-4-starts to blink at once, if one of buttons of the transmitter is programmed for the first time or if contents of the STORAGE of the built-in device of remote control previously were dumped.

At repeated programming of the programmed button of the transmitter the control light-emitting diode-4-starts to blink in about 20 seconds:

· The portable device of remote control by system of opening of a door of garage hold directed (a transmitter exit) on the left side of an internal rear-view mirror. Press the button of the transmitter of the portable device of remote control until the control light-emitting diode-4-will not start to blink quickly.

Programming passed successfully.
